Cigar City Jai Alai Ipa – 24/12OZ CANS

$36.99

India Pale Ale jai Alai, a game native to the Basque region of Spain, is played on a court called a fronton. Jai Alai players attempt to catch a ball using a curved mitt whilst the ball travels at speeds up to 188 mph! Proving they have a sense of humor the Spanish dubbed this game, with its ball traveling at race car speeds, ?the merry game.? Tampa was once home to a bustling Jai Alai fronton but sadly all that remains of Jai Alai in the Tampa Bay area is this India Pale Ale that we brew in tribute to the merry game. The India Pale Ale style of beer has its roots in the ales sent from England to thirsty British troops in India during the 18th century. Pair Jai Alai India Pale Ale with beef empanadas, deviled crabs and other spicy dishes. An intense bouquet of tangerine and candied orange peel entice the nose while flavors of clementines, Valencia orange and subtle caramel provide counterpoint to an assertive bitterness and rich malt character. Bold hop flavor and aroma from six different hop varietals is front and center in this flavorful American IPA 7.5 % abv

Dogfish 60 Minute Ipa – 12/19.2 oz cans

$26.25

It?s hard being the sequel, unless you wrote the original story. Inspired by the continual hopping process we invented with 90 Minute IPA, 60 Minute builds on that one-of-a-kind process and flavor, crafting a solid gold hit that?s found its own identity. Brewed using a boatload of intense Northwest hops, we boil this continually hopped IPA for a full 60 minutes, adding more than 60 hop additions continuously to create a bold and timeless flavor. Continually hopped to deliver a pungently, citrusy, grassy hop flavor without being crushingly bitter, 60 Minute IPA is a surprisingly sessionable IPA for the craft enthusiast. You?ll quickly see why this sequel has become our best selling beer, and why you?ll find yourself coming back to it again and again. The Greatest Invention You?ll Ever Taste: It was back in the mid-90s when we started messing around with extreme versions of super hoppy IPAs. We would use foolhardy amounts of hops, creating a really pronounced bitterness that seemed out of place. After an ?aha!? moment while watching a cooking show on TV, Dogfish Head founder & CEO Sam Calagione tracked down one of those old school vibrating football games to help feed the beer a continual stream of hop pellets. Boom! Continual hopping was born! You see, traditionally brewers make two hop additions – one big dose early in the boil for flavor, and another bunch at the end for aroma. But thanks to a rigged up football-machine-turned-continual-hopper and our addition of equal increments throughout the entire boil, Sam was able to create an outrageously hoppy IPA, without being crushingly bitter. Now all these years later, and after much more sophisticated second, third and fourth generation contraptions have taken over our continual hopping process, the theory and execution are essentially unchanged. 6% abv

Dogfish 90 Minute Ipa – 24/16OZ CANS

$46.50

What you have here is the only Imperial IPA in America inspired by a bowl of soup and a thrift store football game… Back in the 90?s, Sam was struck by a cooking show demo teaching viewers how to properly season soup through a process of continuous peppering. As it stewed and simmered, the chef added pepper in small but consistent doses, bringing through a unique bold taste and intense savory notes. If it worked for soup, why not beer?! Inspiration sparked and Sam knew that Dogfish needed to bring this idea of continuous dosing to our hop additions in the brewhouse. Enter our thrift store electric football game. If rigged at just the right angle over the brew kettle, and covered with hops instead of small dancing football players, the vibrating playing field would perfectly shake and shimmy the hops cascading down into the boiling wort at a consistent rate. Continual hopping was born! Continual hopping provided a beautiful balance to our Imperial IPA – allowing us to add a foolhardy amount of hops throughout the boil without making 90 Minute crushingly bitter. With rich pine and fruity citrus hop aromas and a strong malt ackbone, 90 Minute IPA created pungent, unapologetic flavor that led Esquire to call it ?perhaps the best IPA in America.? 9 % abv

Dogfish Liquid Truth Serum Ipa – 24/12OZ CANS

$38.00

You can handle the truth! MYTH: IBUs (hop bitterness) can only be achieved in the boil. TRUTH: Uh-uh! The truth is, Dogfish Head has been experimenting with tradition-bucking hop schedules since we opened in the mid-90s. From our continual hopping method found in our 60 Minute, 90 Minute and 120 Minute IPAs to our latest innovation, we’ve been know to zag when everyone else zigs. Liquid Truth Serum is no different, and we’ve liberated a new truth by adding every single hop to this juicy IPA after the boil is complete. An unfiltered IPA that’s bursting with ALL the hops, Liquid Truth Serum is brewed using a unique process that incorporates four different states of hops: whole leaf, liquefied, pelletized and powdered. The result is a blissfully inefficient IPA full of citrusy and tropical notes, that’s truthfully hoppy without being deceptively bitter … honest. 7% abv
